Summary of the story

The story is about a child who was born with a burnt face along with a mystical axe that only comes to his time of want of emergency. The boy at the side of his childhood friend had run away from home due to false accusations on the burnt face boy for killing a "respectful" man'a only son. On their run, they encounter alternative monsters and eventually converge with a patrician once her and her family return to a village for a few time removed from the palace.
