Summary of the story

Preah Chan Bompleu Jiangtong Chinese drama movie is a heart-wrenching story of two unlikely friends, a street urchin and a wealthy girl, who are forced to confront the bitter realities of life in Cambodia’s capital. When the wealthy girl’s family is threatened, she and her friend team up to take on the thugs. But in the process, they must overcome their own personal challenges. The movie is based on a true story and was filmed on location in Cambodia’s capital of Phnom Penh. It is the directorial debut of Cambodian director Rithy Panh and stars international actors.
