Summary of the story

After sparing a strange medicate trafficker known as K, specialist Gu Nian is dragged into the brutal world of a sedate cartel. Constrained to deal with the tricky K, she finds herself drawn to him in the midst of unsafe experiences. To ensure her, K penances himself in a deadly encounter with the medicate ruler Peng Li, vanishing without a follow. Half a year afterward, Gu Nian meets Melody Qian, K's reflect picture, presently a cold corporate official with a fiancée. He denies everything. Devastated, Gu Nian clears out. However when her interest of her mom's executioner puts her in the crosshairs, the antagonistic Melody Qian over and over spares her, constraining her to reveal his genuine character.
